PDF ACCESSIBILITY & TAGGING

Check your PDF.Create a tagged copy.

A11yRoo uses AI and accessibility checks to analyze your PDF’s content, layout, and reading order. Review an editable tagging blueprint, create a tagged PDF, and get a report showing what still needs attention.

Tags help screen readers identify headings, follow lists, understand tables, and read content in a meaningful order.

HOW IT WORKS

From your original PDF to a tagged copy

For people preparing PDFs for screen-reader users, from document authors to accessibility reviewers.

  1. 1
    Assess your PDF

Upload your PDF to identify accessibility issues and analyze its content, layout, and reading order.

  2. 2
    Review the blueprint

Inspect the proposed headings, lists, tables, images, and reading order. Make optional changes before creating your tagged copy.

  3. 3
    Create your tagged PDF

Apply the blueprint, check the output, and download your tagged copy and final report.

    Your original PDF stays unchanged.

WHAT YOU GET

More than an accessibility score

1
An accessibility assessment

Detected problems, passing checks, and items that need human judgment.

2
An editable tagging blueprint

A proposed document structure you can inspect and adjust.

3
A tagged PDF and final report

A downloadable tagged copy, with remaining findings and review notes.

HOW THE ANALYSIS WORKS

Looking at the page—and the structure behind it

A11yRoo considers both the PDF’s underlying structure and how its pages look, using the surrounding content to interpret headings, lists, tables, and images.

When more than one interpretation is plausible, A11yRoo selects its best-supported option and records the choice for review. These semantic review notes do not require confirmation before tagging.

HUMAN REVIEW

Know what still needs a closer look.

Automated checks cannot establish complete accessibility. The final report identifies decisions and behaviors that still need human review, including reading order, alternative text, and how the PDF works with assistive technology.
